DRAM

Diastisis of Rectus Abdominus (DRAM) can occur in pregnancy often in the last trimester due to the growing baby & separation of the abdominal muscles. Wearing a tubigrip to support these muscles can help in Pregnancy. Ask your physiotherapist if you would like to purchase one. All girls would benefit from wearing a tubirip from approximately 30 weeks, especially the women with a DRAM, pelvic pain or low back pain.

Wearing a tubigrip (smaller size) for 6-8 weeks postnatally can also help recovering from a DRAM along with attending Bumps pilates classes to help strengthen the deep abdominal muscles.
