reformer beds explained

Pilates is a form of exercise combining flexibility and strength training with body awareness, breathing and relaxation. Many different muscles can be strengthened during a pilates class while working on a “stable core” accessing the deep abdominals & pelvic floor.

Reformer pilates uses specialized spring loaded beds to perform many exercises in various positions. The springs provide resistance to strengthen & stretch your muscles, while they can also provide an unstable base to challenge your CORE muscles too.

Other equipment including hand weights, balls, therabands & circles can also be used to strengthen these muscles.

  • MOVE your body
  • CONTROL your muscles
  • CONNECT your CORE & pelvic floor
  • STRETCH tight muscles
  • RELAX with breathing
